Hi my name is Akansha Agrawal and I am an insights analyst at LinkedIn, a POP Pilates Instructor, and a wellness blogger at citrusandgold.com. As you can probably tell I’m keeping busy but I’m always putting my mental health before everything else!

As someone just entering the health & fitness industry, I’ve noticed there’s a lot of emphasis on physical fitness (toned abs and thighs, for example) and not enough on mental “fitness”. What’s the point of having six-pack abs if you are dealing with stress, anxiety, or possibly depression? We really need to pay close attention to what we are feeling and recognize wellness includes both the mind & body.
